Zookz Sandwiches

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable! Zookz Sandwiches is hands-down one of the best sandwich spots in Phoenix. I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich and a kale salad, and everything was outstanding. The sandwich was perfectly pressed with bold Mediterranean flavors, fresh ingredients, and just the right balance of savory and tangy — every bite was chef’s kiss. The kale salad was equally impressive: crisp, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, not an afterthought at all. You can really tell they care about quality and flavor across the entire menu. On top of the amazing food, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was upbeat and relaxed. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or meeting up with friends, Zookz delivers every time. I’ll definitely be back — highly recommend!

The photos are always mouthwatering so I wanted to try these sandwiches already. I was driven even more by the fact that my South African husband always talked about having pressed sandwiches made over the fire by a "snackwicher"... and these looked similar to what he described. So I was pleasantly surprised to read the owners' story on the restaurant wall about idea coming from her grandmother in Egypt. It's a beautiful testament and it creates a heartfelt connection for the customer. I really enjoy that you can order breakfast or lunch anytime because my household loves breakfast while I prefer lunch. I ordered the Biltmore (ham, bacon, cheddar, avocado, tomato, potato, buttermilk picante dressing) while my son ordered Here Comes the Sun (eggs, bacon, cheddar, tomato, basil, and cream cheese). We had fun pulling them open to see them packed full of ingredients and delicious flavors. Truly, mouthwatering. I grabbed a side of potato salad, which I normal find bland, but it too was so flavorful. Also, I needed a drink so why not the sunset spritzer...for science ... it was tasty and refreshing. The sandwiches were so filling but we had to try dessert as well...again, for science! Oh my goodness. Banana, peanut butter, Nutella, almonds and powdered sugar... it was decadent and perfect. Mmm...can't wait to have these again.

First time here and the sandwich was delicious . We got the bang bang burger. No 45 .. so so good ! Savanna took our order, she was so sweet her smile so brite and welcoming!

The sandwiches are so good, and the coffee was surprisingly good as well! The chickpea salad is amazing. Haven't had anything here I didn't like- only downside is it's a bit pricey for the portion, but the sanwiches are a perfect lunch/breakfast size. Restaurant is a bit noisy, but the patio is cute!

Brought the family down here after an appointment down town. Great food with a endearing story(wich is posted on the wall). We chatted with the owner for a bit while we waited for our food. I had the chorizo, my wife had the cali, and my son got the burger. They were great we all had half and split the other half between us, I'll be getting the hamburger next time it was so good.

I went for the first time today and had a great experience. Really enjoyed the food and the attention to detail. Also the great customer service and how every item on the menu was customizable. Highly recommend this spot!

Asked for gluten free and was assured the press was cleaned in between sandwiches. For the turkey blt but subbed out the cheddar. Was very good. It felt sort of like eating a sandwich potpie. Either way kept in all the sauce and was really good. Crispy Diet Coke
